Haslam’s Master of Business Analytics Program Ranked Highly by TFE Times

MSBA-Rankings-BronzeTFE Times (formerly the Financial Engineer) has named the Haslam College of Business in its list of top master’s in analytics programs of 2016.

Haslam’s Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) was ranked 22nd, up eight spots from 30th last year. TFE Times bases its rankings on GMAT scores, undergraduate GPA, and placement statistics at graduation and three months after. The ranking describes itself as the most comprehensive for graduate business analytics programs in the United States.

“The number of analytics programs out there is growing by the minute,” said Missie Bowers, director of Haslam’s MSBA program. “Even though our program has been around for more than five years, MSBA rankings like the TFE Times are just beginning to emerge. I think we can expect to see more of these rankings, and see Haslam’s program rise in them, as people learn more about the field.”

For the last three years, 100 percent of Haslam’s MSBA students attained jobs within three moths of graduation. A majority of students found placements even before they graduated. Students accepted into the program have an average undergraduate GPA of 3.6 and perform well above average on the quantitative portion of the GRE.

Haslam’s MSBA was the first analytics program to be housed within a business school. It focuses on quantitative, communication and soft skills, as well as technical acumen, to enable success in business.
