WHAT: Scott D. Ferrin, the southwest central field services director of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), will speak about “The Future of HR.” For those with the PHR, SPHR certification, this talk is worth one HRCI credit.
WHEN: Thursday, April 11. Event begins with a 5 p.m. silent auction and appetizers followed by the 6 p.m. program and door prizes at 7 p.m. It is open to the public.
WHERE: Room 501, Haslam Business Building. Reduced-rate parking will be available at Volunteer Hall on White Avenue between 16th Street and James Agee Street.

BACKGROUND: Ferrin has been SHRM’s southwest central field services director since September 2010. His primary responsibilities include managing state council relationships, serving as a liaison with state councils, chapters and volunteer leaders, and promoting SHRM membership.
Ferrin lives in Mesa, Ariz., and serves the southwest central region, supporting SHRM members in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Utah.
