UT’s Graduate Supply Chain Program Top-Ranked For Seventh Consecutive Year

KNOXVILLE, TN —– The full-time MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Business Administration and its supply chain management concentration were again counted among the nation’s best by the 2014 U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings.

UT’s supply chain management program ranked #7 among public universities and #11 nationally. The program has been listed as a top-10 by the publication for seven consecutive years.

“Supply chain management is our largest MBA concentration,” says Amy Cathey, executive director of the full-time MBA program. “Over thirty percent of all our Class of 2012 graduates accepted positions in the area of supply chain management, many with Fortune 500 firms.”

U.S. News & World Report also top ranked the College of Business Administration’s full-time MBA program among the top 40 public university programs in the country.

“We are pleased to receive accolades for our highly regarded supply chain management programming and for our MBA program in general,” said Stephen Mangum, dean of UT’s College of Business Administration. “Strength in these areas reflect the expertise and dedication of our faculty and staff and the high student quality from which employers benefit.”

U.S. News & World Report ranks graduate programs each spring in a variety of academic disciplines from more than 1,250 public and private university graduate programs. Rankings are based on expert opinions about program quality and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students.

“These graduate programs are models of excellence in teaching and research, and we are pleased to see them recognized among the nation’s best,” Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek said. “This report reaffirms our commitment to improving graduate education as we continue our quest to become a Top 25 public research university.”
